Chronic Pain
The Injectrode aims to redefine how chronic pain is treated
Understanding Chronic Pain and Peripheral Nerve System (PNS) Stimulation
Chronic pain impacts many adults and it extends beyond just physical discomfort. It results in daily life restrictions, cognitive setbacks, and pronounced mental health issues. For relief, many individuals receive drug treatments. Although they offer effective pain management, they come with notable side effects. PNS therapies present a promising alternative. However, their potential is untapped, mainly due to the invasiveness of current devices, often making them a "last resort" treatment.
Recognizing these limitations and the need for more accessible treatments, the Injectrode was developed as a simplified way to stimulate nerves. This innovative device addresses the concerns that have curbed PNS stimulation adoption, offering a minimally invasive treatment without relying on drugs. As we evolve in our approach to combating chronic pain, tools like the Injectrode represent a significant leap towards a brighter, more manageable pain-free future.
You’re beautiful, keep it that way!
Neurostimulation treatments are held back by the invasiveness of currently available procedures
Internal Electronics
Stimulators are implanted inside the body with visible bulging
Patients need to wear dressing to cover externalized lead
Wires Sticking Out
Visible Scarring
Complicated, invasive procedures can lead to visible scarring
Introducing the Injectrode
The answer to chronic pain that both patients and physicians are looking for
Stimulated Externally
Keep all the electronics outside of your body
The Injectrode is deployed entirely below your skin
Nothing Sticking Out
The simple placement procedure is done with an 18ga needle

Neuronoff has been awarded funding to support the development and investigation of the Injectrode to treat chronic pain. The National Institute of Health’s HEAL Initiative (Helping to End Addiction Long-term) supports Neuronoff’s investigation of healing chronic pain with near-dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation. The HEAL initiative’s goal is to tackle the opioid crisis and limit opioid misuse, addiction, and overdose in the United States.
